It sounds like you'll fit right in! Welcome! (And to pump up your ego a bit, I spent a good portion of last Saturday reading through your site and I liked what I saw!) Cool, thanks for the welcome and for checking out the site!

Cool site you have runinruder, pc engine fans are welcome here, even if some of them sort of scare me. How many versions of the console you own?

Welcome! Glad you decided to, uh, "sack up," like me!
Because, as ECM knows, I'm the consummate alpha male.*

I know this question wasn't directed at me, but I have:
1. PC Engine (CoreGrafx flavor) 2. Duo RX 3. TurboGrafx 16 w/ CD-ROM 4. SuperGrafx
I've played w/ the 'legendary' PCE LT (CD-ROM and all) and, yeah, it's pretty cool as a curio but, man, that LCD is sooo small and that price is sooo high.
I wil say this: over the years, the PCE has displaced the SNES (now, I think, by a wide margin) as my second favorite 16-bit console after, of course, the universe-stomping Genesis.
In fact, the older I get, the less the SNES appeals to me except for a handful of immortal games like Actraiser, LttP, SMW and a few others. The relative dearth of arcade-style games and decent platformers really has just sunk it over time (I liked it then because I still actually really liked JRPGs, but man is the bloom off the rose on those).

I have to very much agree with Eric about prefering the Genesis over the snes, aside from some ports that got better versions on the snes. The snes is still high on my list of favorite consoles, i still need to dig more in the pc engine grounds, aside from shooters, which is what i've been playing mostly from that system.

Yeah, shooters are the main reason to prefer the PCE, actually /waits for the PCE fanatic(s) to come in and beat on him that "it has more than just shooters, man!"

Cool site you have runinruder, pc engine fans are welcome here, even if some of them sort of scare me. How many versions of the console you own? TG-16+CD, Duo-R, and SuperGrafx. Basically, just what I need to be able to play everything that's available. I've never been a big fan of the SNES, but like you, I do love a handful of its games (Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, ActRaiser, Battlemaniacs). It's a hell of a system for digital comics, too.

I even gave him some intro karma. Because, you know, I'm not stingy with it.

People who aren't used to me from Waxing Erratic will probably want you to the karma back once they see what an opinionated self-important blowhard I am.

Ok, the board is taking form, now, if we could get rid of the right wing wackos things would run even more smoothly.
