Don't worry smithee, you're a pretty cool guy.
I have to say we need more new blood here, the forum is kind of slow these days.

Work kinda precludes me (and most of the rest of us, I think) from posting a lot. (Especially me: I'm up to my frontal lobe in work commitments right now, sigh.)

Hello all, I'm Adam, aka ArcadeHero. As the name might inmply to the few who know the site, I run ArcadeHeroes.com
As such:
>I'm an arcade junkie. But at least to back up what I say about the industry, I've been writing about it for five years and I run and operate my own arcade in Utah since 2008. Anything from Galaxy Game to whatever the latest arcade game is, I pay attention to it in some form. I like pinball too although I think that Stern pinball has been pretty lousy with a couple of exceptions.
>I've collected plenty of console games over the years, grew up as an Atari fanboy and I have a fairly nice Atari collection today that I try and get my two kids to play every now and then. I also enjoyed the golden age of DOS gaming as a pre-teen, good times playing that stuff on a 286 with monochromatic monitor until I upgraded to a glorious VGA monitor and 486.
> I have a Wii and Xbox 360 but the 360 of course is broken and the only reasons I can think of eventually fixing it right now are EDF 2017 and Raiden IV.
> Aside from video games I like staying plugged into the news and yes I'm one of those barbarian/terrorist conservatives that thinks that small government is the way to go.
> As per the blog, I enjoy writing but I won't claim to be an expert at it. I'm researching stuff to write a book about arcades right now (of course) although it will probably be a while before I have anything worth publishing.
> I like Star Trek and MST3k.
I guess that's all anyone needs to know for now.

Welcome aboard Adam! Great to have you here!
Of course, I can think of another, really GREAT reason to fix your 360.....

Thanks guys, it's much appreciated! Speaking of the Atari 5200, funny you mention that. I only got one much later in life but aside from occasionally joystick problems, I love titles like Space Dungeon and Adventure 2.
I haven't had a chance to play Insect Armageddon yet but interesting thing I noticed is that my 5 year old son who went crazy about EDF doesn't care for IA for some reason (being a 5 year old he's always imagining he's an ant, walker, or spider, mimicks their movements, etc.)
