Yes, that was a dark day indeed, when your childhood illusions were torn away in a haze of righteous glaze.
Another dark moment being when you overwrote my GC memory card, consigning my LVL200 PSO characters to oblivion--I still hear their silent screams when warm summer nights waft me back to that dark day on wings of ice-cold dread.

C. Storm, I also catch a lot of progressive rock music though I tend to lean more towards the metallic end, ie. the aforementioned DT, Threshold, Evergrey, Savatage/TSO (when not doing Holiday music), Ayreon, Symphony X, and practically anything by Devin (also a Canadian) Townshend.
I do listen to stuff like Transatlantic, Morse/Spock's Beard, IQ, RPWL, etc.
In metal I cover the gamut, everything from grind and black through thrash, power, doom... all of it.
AND I hit electronic music that veers to Industrial, EBM (including Terror varieties), Darkwave, and most generations of Gothic Rock (pre- and post- Sisters of Mercy). So I'd bounce around from Feinflug and Eisbrecher through Covenant and Rotersand to Faith and the Muse and Ego Likeness.
So yeah. You and I probably have a bit of crossover there.

Right on dude, I'll have to check out some of those bands you mentioned. Based on your comments, I'd highly recommend checking out Celldweller.
