C.Storm (Mii via 3DS): I had a look at C.Storm's Mii and have come to the conclusion that it does look like him *but*, after consulting some experts in the field, his Mii looks like it's about to bomb a government building. Which is OK, since it'd be a govt building in Canada. Hopefully housing one of the HRCs. There's lots of government buildings in Nelson BC.

Kid Icarus continues to look alternatingly awesome and confusing. I'm sure it'll all make sense when it comes out. As for Revelations, it's pretty good. The 3D is solid, and playable at the full setting. They've got a good atmosphere going, and it really does feel like original RE style with RE4 gameplay. Only two complaints: 1. The enemies don't really react when you shoot them. In RE4-5, they would react based on where you shot them, which could allow you to melee them or run away, depending on what you were trying to do. This could very well be intended, though, since these enemies are more gooey and zombie-ish, so the same tricks may not work on them. It just means I won't be able to waltz in and kill everything like I can in RE4 and 5. 2. Not a big fan of the scanner. Instead of looking around a room and finding items (though that's still around), I pull out a scanner and scan stuff so I can then go grab it. It's just making you work more to do something you've been doing in every RE game before this. Plus, knowing me I'm going to be scanning every room up and down the second I enter to make sure I don't miss stuff. It's Metroid Prime all over again. But, solid game, and it reaffirms my intent to buy. Still hate how Jill in this game looks different than RE5 Jill and the original, superior Jill from RE1/3.

The road ahead for Vita will be rough:
Their woeful, overall, financial shape gives them very few options, re: Vita and/or PS3 price cuts down the line.
(One could, of course, argue that since the gaming segment of their business is doing (relatively) well, that they will spend in order to protect that corner of the empire.)

Resident Evil got a pre-release price cut (??) from $50 to $40.

Good. I wasn't looking forward to the battle between my refusal to buy a portable game at $50 and my Resident Evil fanboyism.
Unless, of course, this was all just a ploy to get us to embrace the already-sort-of-too-high price of $40, in which case, Well played, Clerks. Well played.

Well, there's the slim possibility that, say, Amazon might discount that a few bucks further, so all hope is not lost.

New screens from Guild 01's Crimson Shroud: This is the 'mini-game' by Matsuno (of Vagrant Story, FFXII, and Ogre Battle fame).

Looks like his style, at least.
Dunno what to think on this one. I'm pretty hit and miss on his stuff (like FFT and OB, hate FF12, still don't know what is going on in VS), but I'd probably buy this anyway if it comes here since it's part of a compilation.

You must bow down and worship at the altar of Matsuno, or I'll air-drop a crazed Mexican on your head!

Etrian Oddysey 4 apparently coming to 3DS in July (in Japan). Just keep it comin'.
Maybe late 2012/early 2013 in English? Wonder if we'll see this or Beyond the Labyrinth first in the US...
