I just finally caught up with the series* with Casino Royale and Qauntum of Solace. I can say with confidence that Daniel Craig crushes all the other Bonds. Not even close. The new movies are freaking awesome.
What say you all?

I actually haven't seen either of the Craig Bonds because I'm not really a Bond fan (unless it's the game versions of Goldeneye, TWINE and Nightfire) and because my brother, who knows me pretty well, said I really, really wouldn't like them.
So, yea, go Roger Moore!

I liked the movies as a kid, but never because of Bond, he was the most boring character for me. The appeal for me was the bad guys, their headquarters, that and the hot girls. Since the character of JB is written as a boring douchebag that prefers to look good rather than fighting i never cared for him, me being more a fan of anti-heroes. So, the only Bond i like so far is Craig's version. You should see Casino Royale Eric, is pretty damn good, Quantum was so-so.

I kinda liked them as a kid, too, but, because of the stupid gadgets and stuff like that, not so much the character (who, I understand from family fans, up until around Craig, was never anything like the Ian Fleming character). But if you say check it out, I'll check it out. If it sucks, I'm coming for you!

I'll say Daniel Craig, because he happened to be in a movie that portrayed Bond like in the books. The other Bonds were handled with kid gloves -- never got too bloody or beat up. I enjoyed those movies, but they felt like sanitized fluff. Casino Royale (the new one, not the one with seven actors portraying Bond) actually captured the essence of the book, even though they modernized things. This x50
