The mystery NAMCOSEGACAPCOM project is, to no one's surprise (right?), a SRPG follow-up, of sorts, to NAMCOXCAPCOM: Pertinent info: The game features key characters from each company, teamed up in pairs of two: CapcomRyu and Ken (Street Fighter) Mega Man X and Zero (Mega Man X) Demitri (Darkstalkers) and Dante (Devil May Cry) Chris and Jill (Resident Evil) SegaShinguji Sakura and Ogami Ichiro (Sakura Wars) Pai and Akira (Virtua FIghter) Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles) Ulala (Space Channel 5) and Touma (Shining Force) Namco BandaiSanger Somvold (Super Robot Wars) Jin Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken) Kos-Mos and T-elos (Xenosaga) Yuri and Estellise (Tales of Vesperia) Kaito and Black Rose (.hack) I am assuming this is just the start, and that this isn't the sum-total of characters that will be available. (And they damn well better make this one A LOT harder out of the gate--or, hey, include a difficulty select, knobs!--or I'm gonna be, well, not buying it.)

Yeah, the interview for NamcoxCapcomxSega said it wasn't the full roster, just the ones revealed for now. There's still plenty of people from the teasers who aren't accounted for yet (Frank West, more Tales and Sakura Wars people).
I like the Dante/Demitri pairing. Appropriate cross franchise team there. Although I guess it means a Dante/Bayonetta pair is out. Also, with Akira in there, I guess this is as close as we get to Street Fighter x Tekken x Virtua Fighter.
One of the screenshots has Ken and Ryu fighting a Tyrant, and as it turns out, that's all I need to see to justify a purchase. If it comes out here, of course.

I gotta say: I want nothing at all to do with a SFXVFXT game. No thanks.

After playing SFxT, I'd have to agree with you. I'd take it if it were done by the Tekken team, but they've got TTT2 and TxSF to do already.

Mine is a more technical issue: SF and Tekken/VF really have no business being in the same game since the play styles are totally alien (heck, even Tekken and VF lack much overlap).
SFXKOF? OK, great. SAMSHOXGG or Blaz Blue? Maybe. Tekken/VFXSF? No.

Must be Wednesday: CAPCOM is trolling their fans. Again.:
Personally, I couldn't care less about this game getting the axe, but pushing it out there to show your fans a game they're never going to have when the wounds aren't exactly healed? Great idea!

This is finally out this week, from some of the people that brought you Guardian Heroes:
Be nice to see this get localized, stupid region-lock.

Can't forget the other big announcement from this Nintendo Direct, the new New Super Mario Bros game. August is pretty close. Also, if they announced it here for an August release, I gotta think they have at least one more big thing for the year saved for E3. And that's besides the things we already know are coming, like Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 2.
But yeah, really hoping we get Guild 01, Project X Zone, and Etrian Odyssey 4 over here. I'm not too worried about EO4, but the other two could go either way.

I'm not particularly concerned with people not knowing about a Super Mario Bros. game. Somehow I think that might cross pretty much *everyone's* radar
