I have this odd hobby of randomly trying out all sorts of task manager apps. The endeavor to find that perfect "to do" app is harder than you think, especially when cross-platform usability is pretty much a requirement by today's standards.
I'm a whore for technology. I use a Windows machine, 2 macs, an iPhone, iPad and a Linux box daily. You're probably thinking "overkill" but I find my reasons. Stuff like Dropbox (if you don't know what DB is, jump off a cliff) is nerd fodder to me. Naturally, I wish all of my programs had Dropbox's functionality. I'd at least settle for a task managing app and have come close in the past. My schedule looks like the walls in an inner-city preschool. It's full, really, really, really full. Over the last year I've come to rely on my giant paper-based time table quite a bit. Still, mr.uses-6-computers-daily would rather use his technology to keep organized.
That's where Wunderlist comes in!
- Really slick and simple user interface.
- Multiple Lists.
- Syncs across ALL PLATFORMS WITHOUT THE USE OF ANOTHER APP!
- You can email new tasks to yourself.
- The app sends you a "Good Morning" email with your tasks due for the day.
- It works on nearly every device/computer on the market today. (Sorry, no Blackberry.)
- You can share your list and send tasks to friends. This is really good if working on a project with a group.
And it's FREE!
If you are even slightly reliant on writing your life down somewhere, you need to check wunderlist out.
