Any word on that rumored PS360 HD port of Muramasa? I popped it in over the last weekend with full intentions of only checking it out for five minutes. My ass ended up glued to the chair for hours.

The problem w/ a true HD upgrade is that you'd have to redo *all* the art at higher resolutions. Otherwise, you're talking about upscaling and (urgh) filtering the graphics which would pretty much suck most of the beauty out of the graphics.
That said, game is still bloody awesome (and is definitely one of my fav games this gen--top five, even) and it'd be great if more than just the Wii userbase could experience it.

One question about Muramasa, does the game forces you to have certain items to pass trough the level, like Odin Sphere did? That's something i seriously disliked in OS, you couldn't move freely unless you had a certain alchemy item to defeat a certain enemy, or to protect yourself from the elements of certain leves (ice, fire, etc)

It's not as restrictive as Odin Sphere, but there are places you can't go until you satisfy 'x' requirement. (The game, as a whole, destroys OS, though--it's not even close.)

All right, good enough for me. OS was a game that could had been much better had it been properly polished. Sounds to be the case of Muramasa.

If nothing else, look at it this way: if Demon's Souls hadn't come out the same year, Muramasa would have been my game of the year, so it's pretty damn good.

The wall is there but all in all the game is pretty straight forward. If you get stuck, you suck.

Hey, there's that Dragon's Crown which comes from Vanillaware. That'll be on PS3 and PSV.
Looks kinda like a successor to Capcom's fantasy beat 'em ups.

It's a beat-em-up? If it's anything like this I'll be happy.

Ya know, I like Guardian Heroes, but it was never one of the "OMG Treasure!" games for me. I think it's the fact that you could basically spam Han's flaming blade of genocidal death and murder sword attack1 and, basically, win the game. (I also enjoyed playing as the Undead Hero, who was only slightly more difficult to crush the game with.)
But for ace beat 'em ups, I still have to go with (the obvious):
*Streets of Rage 2 (and Bare Knuckle 3, though SOR3 isn't nearly as awful as it's made out to be). *AVP (the CPS2 arcade game, though you can exploit the crap outta that game w/ Kusanagi). *Final Fight (duh) *Spike Out (loved the arcade game; liked it on XBOX).
1Well, whatever it was called, but that's basically an accurate description. Sort of like Ninja "The Hardest Game EVER2" Gaiden's grossly over-powered Fying Swallow (I think that was it) attack. 2If you suck and can't pick up on a super-obvious exploit within, generously, one hour of starting the game.

IIRC, didn't Serena have some sort of fireball-type attack that just annihilated everything? Or am I completely misremembering? (I haven't touched the game in a long, long time.)
