So long, Red Faction: I enjoyed the second one and I liked the demolition aspect of Guerrilla, but the way the stories kept leaning more and more towards, essentially, terrorist role-playing, the more rapidly my interest waned.

How much they spend in those games? Also, i like del Toro, but as a movie maker, not as a game maker. How much he's going to be involved? Again, if the guy is going to be involved in the actual gameplay, what results are we going to get? Games that might look very good, but play very lousy.

Well, the 'upside' to these directors getting involved in games is that, generally, they are *nowhere* near as involved as you might think. Generally, they create the framework (setting, characters, etc.) but don't really handle the gameplay, per se.

The big error with the last RF game is that they went away from the previous formula and went into something that resembled a corridor shooter, iirc.
