I'm not sure if i should give my opinion, i can already see the "YOU HAVEN'T EVEN GOT A REGULAR WII YET!" avalanche, but neverless:
-I don't care about motion controls, and other assorted gimmicks. You know me, old school to the bone -Not a fan of Zelda, so meh -So far it looks like a regular wii, just with HD in it -So, should i wait for this wii or just buy the normal wii?

At this point, I'd just wait because it's going to be the type of machine you want and it's also going to have all the third party games you love, albeit with better graphics and more bells and whistles via the touchscreen. Unless, of course, you can get a Wii for cheap, then by all means do it since the U is at least a year off and there are a ton of good Wii games you can play in the interim.

Until I hear about a must have, I'm holding off. I have way too much of a backlog now and I have to stick to my guns.

No, no, it's okay to have an iPad now because the 2nd one came out. Only hipsters have the second one because it has a new processor that opens webpages .000000057342 seconds faster - more than enough to garner Steve blowJobs nod of scarf wearing approval.
