I guess they dropped the curtain on the new Wii.
Am I the only one who is already agitated by the controller? Not because it's yet another deviation from the status quo (I think it's kind of cool), but because I'm a picky bastard about my open screen pieces of technology.
When I look at that thing, all I can see is scratches and fingerprints.... the bane of my existence.

I just think it doesn't look very comfortable to hold. If there were some kind of player testimonial that it doesn't hurt like the DS then maybe I'd be more interested.
As it stands, and like always, I'll just wait and see what games come out for it.

I want to impregnate it, that's how much I love it. And HD Zelda, someday. ... ... ...

Yeah, I want it bad bad, but I'm a Nintendo mark. Jjust like i was once, long ago, a Sega mark before they turned to, essentially, garbage1.
And before any Sega fans (Zig!) come after me, go find the old issues of GameFan I edited and I dare you to tell me there was a magazine that was more (almost over-the-top) pro-Sega. Hell, we were pretty much the only ones, as I remember it, since everyone else was busy running "Sega is fucked once PS2 shows up" articles every damn month--nothing like helping speed along the self-fulfilling prophecy.
And Smithee: I used to do marathon (like 12 hour) sessions of PSO w/ that ginormous ASCII GC/Keyboard controller and it was totally comfortable. (The only problem, really, was putting it down =/)
1Let's be honest: Sega's internal development structure is nothing like the Sega that gave us the DC and Genesis (and, to a lesser extent, Saturn2). 2Lesser in the sense that I didn't really play my Saturn for 1st party Sega games--that was more of 3rd party-driven ride for me, w/ all the shooters riding on the hood.

At least Sega still gives us Yakuza games. I love me some Yakuza!

Yeah, I'm certainly A-OK w/ the Platinum stuff, but Sega, as I always understood them, was the sum total of their dev studios, not the (very) checkered publishing history they've amassed since the (sniffle) death of DC I think I read a Sega Bastard editorial, once upon a time, where he actually pointed out that GameFan was the only pro-Sega mag during that era, but I'm just too tired/lazy to look it up, so you'll just have to take his expert opinion (which I may just be making up).

Honestly though, Sega's done some grand stuff lately. They're never totally dead, and I think they've pulled it together. Hell, their Sonic games have even been okay recently, so I've heard.

It's only on DS and Wii so, uh, no.
The DS game is pretty good and is, basically, another installment of Sonic Rush; the Wii game is OK and, initially, seem like it's almost great, but then you realize (after putting some time into it) that it only seems that way because of the trainwreck the IP, in general, has become. Basically, since Sonic has been roadkill on the gaming highway for so long (I'm pretty sure Mario backed over him a few times, too), it's reason to rejoice that he's only partially maimed, will never walk again, but at least he's able to feed himself...through a straw.1
So, yeah, not bad but it's, basically, pretty average when taking all the Sonic games as a whole. (I actually preferred Secret Rings to Colors quite a bit, and that's on rails for God's sake.)
1 This is a bit unfair, as there have been some decent Sonic games since Sonic Adventure 2, but there have also been some spectacularly bad games, too, which, on balance, have out-numbered the decent ones.

Maybe I'm thinking of that Kinect Sonic game then. I thought they were one in the same.
Secret Rings is good but I could have done without the tutorial crap at the beginning.

Yeah, the only real problem I had w/ SS was that it took a good 2 hours to get Sonic to the point where controlling him became fun (which, of course, is a huge no-no in game design).
