A ps3 old school RPG mashup thing? Anyone play this? Seems kinda interesting.

You, sir, have a full plate! So no more games until at least OOT is off the menu!

Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode is pretty cool though. This could loosely be defined as useful...I guess.

I bought it on the cheap a while back for the collection, and gave it the cursory 45-minute trial before it got tossed in the pile. Story is the usual crossover nonsense with anime stock characters paired with Morrigan and some Gust characters fighting some evil. The battle system is somewhat interesting, with a combo setup a little similar to Valkyrie Profile. The game itself is pretty slow. Aaaand that's about all I remember.
I had a better time with Trinity Universe, which is basically the same thing in a more traditional RPG setup with less crossover characters (No Darkstalkers, for one). But if you're looking to scratch the old school JRPG itch on the PS3, you can probably do better, although there's not a great selection on the PS3. Maybe the next Atelier game will be good?

The JRPG genre, outside of portables, is kinda a dead animal, I think, insofar as actually having games that actually play like JRPGs in any meaingful sense.
The weird thing is, I never would have thought (console) JRPGs would start heading down the path shooters have long since trod, getting more and more niche until there's only a few meaningful examples left. (Granted, they'll *never* get as bad as shooters, but considering the heights of the PS1/2 era, where they peaked, it's still surprising they've hit the skids as hard as they have.)

A neat thing about the Internet: seems one of the lurkers has contributed to a Cross Edge wiki! Too bad he won't register and share his views! (Yes, s/he was sold out by the ol' ip address.)

Your internet powers astound me. But yeah, I'd like to see someone come in and speak in favor of the game, might convince me to give it another shot.

Your internet powers astound me. Verily, I can use my mighty binary powers for great good or for a great deal of hassling of people that won't register.
