I don't know how any of you feel in regards to boycotts and whatnot but in case you ever need to know who it is out there in the "journalism" circuit for games that has been taking the side of the wrong people in the Zoe Quinn case of sex-for-awards-and-reviews thing, here you go: makealist.com/content/quinngategamergate-boycott-list

I'm way ahead of the curve on this one, as I don't frequent/read *ANY* of the listed sites/blogs/SJW sites, which means, dammit, I can't actively boycott them.

Same here for the most part, I just hadn't been aware of Polygon's active removal of readers and whatnot from their social media or site stuff. I only have read them in the course that they post something arcade related (today for example, they got a timed scoop on images for The Walking Dead pin) Of course no is surprised that Gawker is all over defending whoredoms where they occur.

Of interest to anyone still semi-following this story. A Breitbart writer by the name of Milo Yiannopoulos was trying to find out why Zoe Quinn wasn't donating to charity like she claimed she would: I just called Zoe Quinn to ask about iFred. Told her my name, she said she was busy. Told her what it was about, she hung up. 1/ Since Zoe Quinn hung up on me, but still has a phone available with which to tweet, I will ask my questions here. 2/ @thequinnspiracy: How much money has Depression Quest raised, and what percentage of that money have you donated, to date, to iFred? 3/ @thequinnspiracy: If you have donated money to iFred, why does that charity say you haven't? 4/ @thequinnspiracy: What was the reason from the change in your chosen charity from iFred to a different depression charity? He also has been looking into a feminist who claims she is getting death threats but so far can't produce any evidence that the said feminist game journalist reported it to the police as she had claimed.

IMO People should just ignore Zoe Quinn and focus more on reshaping our journalists scene. Then discredit Anita and SJWs. They need a "pedestal to preach" which their industry refuses to provide, acknowledging their views on the matter. Would be more effective than the current angry forum posts on 4chan, twitter etc etc.

I would submit that it's the pretension that what they do is journalism is what them in trouble in the first place.
There really isn't any place for actual journalism at *any* of the black-listed sites because they rely 100% on the companies they cover to provide them the content they cover, which creates nothing but a gigantic conflict of interest and renders their ability to cover them in any sort of antagonistic sense virtually impossible.
The idea of gaming journalism is a nice one, but it's really little more than make-believe for a bunch of dorks that have *no idea* what it actually entails, and is merely a pose to allow them to pretend that their jobs--especially nowadays when they aren't actually really paid salaries anymore*--are somehow meaningful.
*At least when I was doing it people PAID to read what I wrote...now? Not so much (or at all).
