This is just a list to keep track of all the game devs/pubs that go under from this point forward--if I miss any please add them below.
*Arkedo Studios
Why are they OOB: couldn't secure more work.
Editorial comment(s): This is a real shame, as they made some great games, even if most people have no idea what those games were, e.g. Nervous Brickdown, the wonderful Big Bang Mini, and the quirky Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit.

This story is the top trend on Twitter right now. * LucasArts is now gone. mashable.com/2013/04/03/disney-closes-lucasarts/In the past for arcades, Sega did a lot of Star Wars stuff but presently Raw Thrills has a solid relationship with Disney. I have my hopes for something like Star Wars Trilogy Arcade once again. But speaking of LucasArts, I don't recall the last LA game I played. It's certainly been a while and its too bad they had to rely mostly on Star Wars to get by instead of trying out more original stuff like they used to.

Yeah, High Moon had some layoffs too. Most of the Deadpool team apparently, which is sad since the game isn't even out yet. They didn't even get to watch their game fail to meet the publisher's wildly unrealistic sales projections first!
Square Enix Los Angeles also had layoffs, which reminded me that there was indeed a Square Enix Los Angeles.
Some game journalists are saying that there's more to come, which wouldn't be surprising since we're around the end of a fiscal year during a console transition.

Visceral Montreal, R.I.P.
Why are they OOB: EA has lost 2/3rds of its value in 5-years--this won't be the last studio they close.

Blitz gets stiff-armed: The messed up thing is Blitz was riding pretty high only three-years back, and now they're gone...just like that. Why are they OOB: couldn't secure more work. (The scary thing about Blitz' demise is that they did mid-range stuff, focused heavily on licensed properties, which are basically DOA on console, thanks to tablets and smartphones.)

Citerion(!) down to fifteen people!
But.
Criterion head suggests this is a good thing...and if you're a complete idiot, you'll believe him.
Why they are nearly OOB: it's EA.

The worst part is that Criterion was doing great on Burnout, and even when they got dumped on NFS, it still sold above expectations. There was literally nothing they could do.

Atlus officially toast.
Why they are OOB: parent co. went bankrupt, SEGA picked up the remains.

Airtight Games reaches crush depth:
Not much of a loss, really, but still sucks to lose your job.
