*For a bit, Sarkozy, former prez of France, was married to a descendant of this guy (a gal, natch).

oh btw, the guitarist in Somebody336's post is Christopher Parkening. He has led an interesting life- a child virtuoso who was taught by the great Segovia, he earned fame in fortune and retired young to live a life of ease. Feeling something was missing, he became a born again Christian*, with his mission being to restart his classical guitar career (after years off) as an evangelical pursuit.
*And thus most snobs will accuse him of not playing as well after his conversion, which I haven't heard any evidence of in recordings at all. I've always been suspicious of this.
