Man, I forgot Lords of Shadow 2 existed. I feel like it's been under development for like eight years now.

All I know about LoS2 is that it's apparently sexist, and that's basically all it takes to get a by from me these days, because I'm that petty and spiteful.

WILD BASELESS SPECULATION FEBRUARY EDITION
-I didn't preorder Bravely Default on Amazon because I am a man who makes mistakes. The collector's edition sold out there decades ago, so I hit up some Best Buys to see if I could find a collector's edition at retail, and at worst just pick up the game itself. I ended up hitting four stores all over town before I could find a single copy of the standard edition of the game (got the last one, too). I am reminded of Fire Emblem's release last year. It was a niche game that performed above expectations, despite supply constraints. I am convinced that Nintendo decided to copy FE's success to a tee for BD: demo a month early, commercials on Adult Swim, then a early Feb release with low stock to encourage sell-outs and digital purchases.
-Looking at the Wii U's release schedule, and how there was nothing released last month, and there is nothing planned for March, I am now convinced that Donkey Kong Country TF was delayed from December solely so that the Wii U would have software in the first quarter of 2014. (Yes, this was probably obvious, but man, they had nothing planned.)

1. I agree. (BUT, not necessarily because they're running a game plan, but because they have as much faith in this as they had in FE.) 2. I agree. (Because that's obvious.)
Also: wow, I cant' believe you, of all people, skipped pre-ordering this LE--it was sold out everywhere every time it came back into stock for 30-seconds. Hell, it was in-stock at Amazon this AM for about 90-minutes!

Well, that was the thing. I was going to preorder the LE on Amazon, but it really did sell out early. I think it was out of stock back in December or so. The Kingdom Hearts HD LE was the same way, so maybe it's a Squeenix thing (though BD is being published by Nintendo, so who knows). I generally don't "preorder" until a week or so before release, though I've been going earlier lately (already preordered Jojo since it's an Amazon exclusive, and if they somehow run out, I'd be SOL).
Didn't see it go back in stock since then, so I figured trying my luck out in the wild was the only shot. I'm not too worried about missing out on it, the artbook and AR cards would get one look and then get tossed back in the box. I'll miss the soundtrack, but it's probably available for purchase somewhere.

Ground Zeroes and DS2 are equal priority right now, but it comes down to even finding a PS4 right now. Don't you work in a video game store?

I picked up Rayman Legends and Strider. Still waffling on DKC TF...

I picked up Rayman (a while ago, for peanuts), and DKCTF--I'm not touching Strider until someone that LOVED S1 and 2 tells me it is EVERY BIT AS GOOD, since everyone I've spoken to, so far, has said it's a dead, empty, game that isn't really Strider in anything but the broadest sense, i.e. a guy named "Strider" running around w/ a sword and scarf.
(It also, apparently, has the lazy game designer crutch of being a Metroidvania, in large part, which makes it even worse and far, far afield what makes Strider, Strider.)

I hear ya, I hold Strider 1 & 2 in high regard.
However, the new Strider is more of a sequel to the NES version (not Metroidvania as the hype peddlers have "reported") with some elements of Strider 2 thrown in.
Did you think the NES version was an abomination? If so, avoid the new Strider. If not, I'd say it's worth the fifteen bucks.

I thought NES Strider was OK, but I'm not really interested in more of that, so I guess I'm passing!
(Apparently creating a real Strider was beyond the ability of DH, which should be of no surprise to anyone.)

I concur but still think it's worth the price of admission.
Great tunes too:
